JOB OVERVIEW

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Preform required horticultural and agronomic practices for general landscape maintenance
  • Perform required tasks to ensure property cleanliness. Ensure that service areas and storage areas are clean, maintained, and proper working order according to the resorts standards
  • Perform landscaping renovations
  • Participate in company and/or department training/meetings
  • Report any challenges to Supervisor and/or Manager
  • Communicate inventory levels of landscape supplies, products to Supervisor and/or Manager
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned
  • Utilize the proper handling of equipment used in the scope of the landscaping responsibilities.  Assist with Weekly Trimming and any special projects.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

  • Ability to follow and complete instructions
  • Ability to work alone with limited supervision
  • Ability to recognize and resolve repair challenges
  • Ability to lift/push/pull heavy objects (20-100 lb.)
  • Extensive knowledge of equipment and tools used in landscape maintenance
  • Knowledge of landscape materials, including plant species commonly used in this horticultural zone
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel and climb for long periods
  • Ability to walk long distances over all types terrain; in all types of weather
  • Attention to detail

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License.  Self-starting personality with an even disposition.   Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests.  Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.  Participate in company events.  Clean office and exterior landscaping area to include storage bins.  Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons.
