The Sheraton Park City is looking for a dynamic and experienced BELL CAPTAIN to join our awesome Bell, Driver, and Front Office Team!! We offer a $750 Sign-on Bonus with the potential to make great money.

JOB OVERVIEW

Oversee and manage all bell & driver staff and all activities regarding our hotel's bell services.  Greet and welcome arriving guests as they enter the hotel.  Assist both arriving and departing guests with baggage handling and supervise all bell persons with respect to same. Provide outstanding service to our internal team and external guests. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Welcome and escort guests to and from their rooms and assist with luggage.  Inform guests of all safety features and promote hotel outlets.  Introduce the Marriott Bonvoy Guest Program to guests upon arrival and recognize elite members.  Maintain accurate logs.  Supervise door and luggage attendants in carrying out these duties.
  • Store guest baggage upon request and assist with the loading and unloading of baggage into and out of automobiles.  Summon taxis upon request.
  • Prepare and maintain all tour and delivery paperwork to ensure accuracy and operational standards are upheld.  Supervise all group baggage transfers and amenity deliveries to ensure proper handling and completion. Complete daily paperwork.
  • Maintain the check-in station for appearance, organization, and operational effectiveness.  Inspect employees’ uniforms, operational departmental areas for cleanliness and organization, correcting as necessary.
  • Drives vehicle from individual or central loading area to airports, or other destinations according to assigned schedule.
  • Assists passengers into and out of vehicle. Assist with loading and unloading baggage.
  • Operates radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report status of service.
  • Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
  • Conduct administrative duties including interviewing and hiring of staff, scheduling, coaching, labor control, supply requisitions, etc.
  • Offer information pertaining to available hotel services, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.
  • Deliver packages, suitcases, and trunks.
  • Respond to and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Supervise all group baggage transfers and amenity deliveries to ensure proper handling and completion.
  • Supervise team and make all schedules. 

OTHER FUNCTIONS

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.  Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.  In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
