Our Lead Mixologist provides attentive, dynamic, and inspiring beverage service for our restaurant guests. Thorough knowledge of mixology, the restaurant food and beverage menus, and recommended pairings is critical to success. Our Lead Mixologist must be proactive in handling guest needs, be highly engaging, service-oriented, and take a creative approach to problem solving. The primary responsibility of our Lead Mixologist is to deliver and exceed guest expectations, execute the restaurant vision, resolve challenges, and maintain excellent communication with guests, peers, and supervisors. You and your vision will drive the future expectations of our cocktail prgrom!

Adorned with stunning marble tables, intricate gold ceiling inlay, plush soft seating, and grand circular bar we have recreated a time that was filled with elegance, extravagance, and indulgence. Housed in the historic Hotel Fort Des Moines, we have taken every step possible to protect a valued piece of Des Moines’ cherished history. Two semi-private dining rooms are available, seating eight and 10 guests, respectively. Comprised of handmade pastas, humanely raised poultry, waterfowl, prime cuts of beef, sustainably caught seafood and locally sourced produce, Proudfoot & Bird’s menu consists of world class fare.
