Job Overview

As a Laundry Attendant, you will fill a guest services role in supporting your hotel’s financial goals of the daily operation of the housekeeping department.  You will ensuring proper washing and drying of laundry according to the established policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions:

• Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload laundry from machines.
• Monitor feeder information on the washing machines, making sure that all drums are full and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor.
• Iron clean linens using the industrial iron.
• Fold clean, ironed linens while maintaining peak performance in the proper manner putting them on the shelf in the proper place for easy access by department personnel.
• Practice chemical safety, following established policies and procedures for handling spills, needles and other hazardous materials. Call Maintenance to change all laundry chemicals.
• Answer guest calls using the appropriate department greeting and provide the highest level service within the allotted time.
