About This Job

$1,000.00 Sign on bonus! The Bell Attendant is responsible for coordinating and providing consistent excellent service to guests/clients before arrival, upon arrival, and during their stay, from check-in to checkout. This includes valet, bellman, shuttle, and doorman activity. This employee will be responsible for assisting and greeting both arriving and departing guests with baggage handling and supervise door and luggage attendants with respect to same. The Bell Attendant is required to adhere to the mission and values of Widewaters Hotels, LLC.
What you will be doing
  • Welcome and escort guests to and from their rooms and assist with luggage. Inform guests of all safety features, and promote hotel outlets.
  • Inform guests of unique features offered in rooms
  • Provide door assistance and luggage service to the guests, including delivery of items to guest rooms.
  • Actively contribute to the department by labeling, handling, and/or storing guest luggage.
  • Store guest baggage upon request and assist with the loading and unloading of baggage into and out of automobiles.
  • Answer all guest questions accurately and resolve problems in a timely manner ensuring guest satisfaction. Authorize revenue allowances as allowed by hotel policy.
  • Resolve guest problems and complaints following the “L.E.A.D” Widewaters Hotels process.
  • Make restaurant, transportation, and/or entertainment reservations for guests, plus other Concierge services as requested and have thorough knowledge of hotel amenities, company, and local area & attractions.
  • Prepare and maintain all tour and delivery paperwork to ensure accuracy and operational standards are upheld.
  • Handle all group baggage transfers and amenity deliveries to ensure proper handling and completion.
  • Adhere to all established procedures for securing Guest luggage and items of value.
  • Maintain and update all logs.
  • Communicate with other hotel departments to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
Requirements
  • High school or equivalent education
  • Minimum one year previous supervisory experience preferred. Bell Services experience required. Must possess a thorough knowledge of the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • Must possess basic computational ability and computer skills.
  • Must be able to stand up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Must have a positive attitude at all times.
  • Ability to supervise situations and accomplish goals on a timely basis.
