BASIC PURPOSE:The Concierge offers information and special services to our guests in order to enhance their visit. They will be responsible for overseeing the operation of ourRegency Club which is an exclusive, private lounge that offers light, food and beverage refreshments and caters to Hyatt’s top VIPs and frequent stay members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide efficient and friendly AAA Four-diamond service to all guests

Setting up and maintaining, in a presentable matter, the nightly refreshments for guests

Breaking down, cleaning and restocking of all used china, silverware, packaged snacks and beverages

Basic cleanliness and working order upkeep of the lounge including but not limited to wiping down tables, chairs, vacuuming, dusting and reporting anything working order concerns to management

Developing, organizing, and maintaining up-to-date and accurate information about the hotels functions, city of Indianapolis and local events

Answering questions, giving directions and making detailed reservations or recommendations. 

Coordinating any special guest requests, handling VIP’s, and following up on inquiries left by guests.

Resolve and guest complaints

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Inventory dry goods and beverages and submit requestions for replenishment

Assist, when necessary, during heavy volume periods any area within the Front Office; including answering phones, storing/delivering luggage and packages and engaging with guests in our main lobby

Education: High School education or equivalent experience.

Experience: Experience required by position is from three months to one full year of employment in a related position with this Company or other organizations.

Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of the City of Indianapolis and its local restaurants and attractions. Requires the ability to operate computer equipment. Refined verbal communication and problem solving skills. Must be of age to serve alcohol and have an issued permit from the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission

Travel required: None.

Hours Required: 6 hour shifts, typically Monday through Thursday from 4:30pm – 10:30pm. Dates and times of shifts may vary based upon hotel needs at the discretion of management.
