Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring a clean, safe and fun environment for guests at the pool in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Essential Job Functions

This description is a summary of primary responsibilities and qualifications. The job description is not intended to include all duties or qualifications that may be required now or in the future. The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.Must be available to work on weekends and holidays and various shifts.

  • Greets and serves guests in a friendly, timely manner
  • Attend to the guest pool-related needs including, but not limited to, getting fresh towels, relocating chairs and/or umbrellas. Clean the pool area including, but not limited to, ashtrays, furniture, tables, decks, pool tiles, shower and restrooms.

  • Collect and replenish pool towels and monitor inventory to minimize loss
  • Maintain equipment including, but not limited to, umbrellas, rafts, pool toys, etc.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Turns in all lost and found items and all guest room keys.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Follows safety and security procedures and rules.
  • Knows department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
  • Utilizes protective equipment.
  • Reports unsafe conditions to management.
  • Reports accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage, or loss to management.
  • Provides a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
  • All team members must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. (Specific standards outlined in team member handbook).
  • Perform any related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to Lift, Push & Pull up to (50) pounds required.
  • Continuous movement throughout the department
  • Standing is required during the entire shift.
  • Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling.
