The Hyatt House Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel is looking for an outgoing and detail oriented individal to join their management team as the Parking Manager

Parking Manager

The Parking Manager will oversee parking operations for the garage which will house valet parking for the Hyatt House Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel, self, and valet parking for residents of 27 Atlantic Apartment building and hourly/daily self-parking to be utilized by the general public.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Understand and enforce all safety protocols.
  • Create and maintain a positive, safe environment that instills confidence for both employees and guests.
  • Willingly embrace last-minute changes in direction and unexpected changes in operational plan.
  • Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor/manager and/or perform related duties as assigned.
  • Oversees the daily parking operation including, revenue collection, parking equipment maintenance and repair program, overall parking site cleanliness, and management of space availability.
  • Oversight of hotel drive, bell-staff, and parking attendants (if necessary) to ensure operation is appropriately staffed.
  • Manages maintenance of parking ticket machines.
  • Maintains and submits reports and records as required.

·       Utilize parking access and revenue control system hardware and software.

  • Maintain knowledge of a) scheduled daily activities. b) daily arrivals/departures, house count. c) features and services provided by the hotel. d) hours of operation of each outlet. e) parking facilities, layout, hours of operation, prices, and procedures.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with hotel guests, apartment tenants and hourly self-parking clients.
  • Consistently offer professional, engaging, and friendly service.
  • Manage and resolve all guest complaints in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Supervise all direct reports, to include hiring, training, scheduling, development, evaluation, and payroll-related activities.
  • Routinely audit various shifts to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
  • Ensure the location is operating in accordance with company policies and client expectations.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor in emergency situations and demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all hotel features and services/procedures/hours of operation.
  • Review and respond to daily operational demands.
  • Conduct and/or participate in Daily Line ups as well as Departmental meetings as directed.
  • Ensure that all operations departments and employees comply, on a consistent basis, with all Fire Department Safety codes and OSHA guidelines.
  • Ensure that employees comply and abide by the Company’s standards of conduct at all times.

Qualifications

·       Education: High School Graduate or General Education (GED) or 5 Years Work Equivalent.

  • Experience: Familiarity with Microsoft Office and hotel information systems preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience required.
  • Valid license with 3+ years driving experience with no major violations.
