POSITION PURPOSE:

To ensure standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness are maintained throughout the hotel and to manage housekeeping team efficiently to maintain Hilton's standards and control costs.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:

•  Visually inspect guest rooms, corridors and public areas for cleanliness and appearance. Prepare work orders for carpet cleaners. Instruct room attendants to prioritize     room cleanliness sequence based on the business demands. Complete daily work in a timely fashion.
•  Train and monitor performance of room attendants and house persons using inspection form(s). Provide organization, instruction, guidance, communication, counseling, as well as exercise good judgment, while reinforcing Hilton's high standards of quality. Prepare work performance reports on all personnel assigned to work area and submit to the Housekeeping office. Ensure all jobs are completed within the shift. Prepare P.M. room status report.
•  Take requested inventories of equipment, supplies (biweekly) and linen (monthly). Submit the reports to Executive Housekeeper for any discrepancies. 
•   Assist in placing supplies order biweekly. Ensure proper order is received upon vendor delivery.            
•  Ensure room attendants carts and linen/supply closets are kept clean, neat, and stocked according to departmental guidelines
•  Inspect VIP rooms; make certain all VIP supplies are in place. Expedite special guest requests, such as extra towels, blankets or pillows.
•   Report all maintenance deficiencies in guest rooms and corridors via work orders. Telephone deficiencies considered emergencies (i.e. overflowing toilets or broken pipes in        bathrooms, lights out in bathrooms, closets, or corridors, broken mirror or window) to the maintenance department.
•  Open and close the house according to business needs using Hilton computer and scheduling tools.

SUPPORTIVEFUNCTIONS:

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by management of the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.

OTHER:

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
