  • Be available in absence of the spa manager.
  • Demonstrates a healthy lifestyle.

Leadership

  • Manage and motivates staff of 30+ practioners
  • Anticipate guest demand, schedule staff accordingly and manage the proper daily workload for each staff member.
  • Interview and hire staff, administer performance reviews and administer and document staff correction.
  • Effectively manage staff activities throughout the day.
  • Hold staff meetings, create internal staff communication.
  • Ensure that department is delivering quality guest care.
  • Maintain the number of core team staff and re-build seasonal team staff numbers to maintain adequate staffing levels.
  • Be able to step in and complete service at anytime.

Operations

  • Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department. Establish, upgrade, and document standard operating procedures, systems, policies and other operational procedures.
  • Order and oversee all professional purchases, keeping ordering lead time in mind to maintain adequate stock.
  • Oversee the maintenance, stocking and sanitation of the department. Monitor supply levels.
  • Establish and manage vendor relationships.
  • Assist with selecting retail products.
  • Maintain function of all equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all operating and behind the scenes spaces, including break areas and restrooms.

Training

  • Conduct staff training and staff development workshops. Oversee select training that is delegated
  • Upgrade service protocols and products as needed.

Research and Development

  • Research, develop and implement new product/treatment offerings to increase revenue into expanding markets when needed.
  • Analyze sales trends, strategize and eliminate services where sensible.

Finance

  • Maximize department treatment room occupancy levels. Continually drive the department revenue by maximizing the use of the treatment rooms and strategically scheduling staff.
  • Administer daily and weekly payroll, ensuring it’s accuracy. Maintain or limit payroll percentages set out by management.
  • Stay within the monthly expense budget preparation.
