As a Barista, you are the foundation of the coffee shop. You will be responsible for every customer by providing excellent customer service. Must educate customers about premium coffees, teas, drinks etc. He/She is a true professional that fulfills any additional duties the Supervisor/Manager assigns. 

Must display a positive attitude at all times to ensure the return of our customers. Maintain, open and close the coffee station, ensuring cleanliness and inventory of the station. Barista is trained to make fine espresso drinks. He/She must address many factors including the grinding of the espresso, the pressure of the tamp, the temperature of the milk and making fresh brewed coffee. The barista must keep the coffee brewing throughout the day in addition to making other drinks such as juice or milk drinks. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience
  • Deliver quality handcrafted beverages and food during all hours of operations
  • Uphold all brand standards and food safety standards
  • Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations
  • Complete all cleaning tasks, including opening and closing procedures
  • Follow proper packaging and labeling procedures for nutrition merchandises
  • Follow proper perishable inventory procedures to ensure an accurate recording of inventory
  • Provide a friendly and efficient guest experience; tailor your interaction to guest needs
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
  • Reports accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to supervisor.
  • Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
  • All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. (Specific standards outlined in team member handbook).
  • Perform any related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
  • Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information such as outlet hours and local attractions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

One year minimum in a barista role in a similar setting

Prior hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
