The Floor Supervisor at PGA National Resort responsibilities:

1. Responsible for checking VIP’s on a daily basis.
2. Ensures VIP arrivals are completed by 12:00 Noon.
3. If by 11:00, room is still occupied, advises dispatcher to relay information to the Front Desk, and changes room if necessary.
4. Inspects guest rooms.
5. Inspects public areas. (hallways, stairways, back landings, closets and room attendant carts)
6. Monitors the work performance of Room Attendants and House people.
7. Responsible for reporting general maintenance in designated areas.
8. Ensures safety procedures are being followed.
9. When working as a Cottage supervisor, keeps control of inventory on exclusive cottage items (toasters, microwaves, silverware, shower curtains, etc.)

FLOOR SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:  Responsible for room attendants and house person, shampoo person, and window cleaners working in his/her area.

Maintains the highest quality standards to ensure a clean, attractive and safe environment.  Motivates the staff using the Housekeeping team concept, stimulating within all employees a friendly and cheerful attitude with guest and other employees.  Trains new employees and ensures to follow up with training methods with the staff he/she is supervising.  Maintains and motivates PGA National Resort & Spa’s standards for grooming.

EDUCATION:  High school diploma.  Previous hotel supervisor experience preferred. For work in the Club Cottages must have a valid driver’s license. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Prefer bilingual, English, Creole/Spanish.

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  The ability to push carts and equipment that weigh up to approximately 50 lbs.  Ability to lift objects up to 30 lbs.  Ability to use chemicals and equipment safely.  Position requires walking (long distances), bending, and good vision.
