About This Job

Working closely with the Vice President of Finance and the finance leadership team to lead the analytics and reporting team, while providing innovative, insightful observations to senior management, to increase performance effectiveness, process improvement and maximize company success.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the Financial Planning and Analysis team in identifying and executing analytics for the property

  • Lead and develop planning and budgeting activities and process for the Property

  • Manages cash flow, cost identification and allocation, and risk management

  • Manage data and analytics innovation for the Property

  • Lead action planning on insights, tracking of progress and achievement of goals for the property

  • Ability to develop and produce comprehensive return on investment analysis to aid in the financial division making process

  • Reviews findings and make recommendations to senior leadership

  • Proactively provide insights to the business across functional areas

  • Leads the professional development of direct reports

  • Manages Human Resources responsibilities for FP & A team including creating and maintaining a work environment that promotes client service, teamwork, performance feedback, individual recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction ensuring quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment

  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in a related field or equivalent experience required.

  • Three (3) years of leadership experience in financial planning, analytics or project management required

  • Five (5) years of experience in financial planning, analytics, or project management required.

  • Seven (7) years of financial planning experience preferred.

  • Experience with Condo/Hotel analysis preferred.

  • Ability to appropriately manage confidential departmental and corporate information

  • Must have excellent written, verbal and public presentation communication skills. Must be able to produce memos and executive summaries.

  • Must have initiative and strive for continuous improvement. Proven ability to participate in implementing innovative ideas, projects and business solutions.

  • Ability to work on multiple levels from resolving individual support issues to leading large strategic programs.

  • Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

  • Ability to delegate, manage manpower and organize complex projects and establish priorities consistent with SMGHA and property objectives.

  • Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certifications, specifically a Nevada Gaming registration.

  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint. Mastery of Excel required.

  • Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.

Physical Demands

  • Work is performed in an office setting.

  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.

  • May be exposed to smoke.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

  • Constant contact with executives, department management, employees, and guests.

  • Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.

  • Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally

  • Eye/hand coordination.

  • Use of standard office equipment.

  • Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols

  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays where needed.
