Summary:

The Retail Spa Specialist will also be responsible for monthly inventory and reconciliation of any discrepancies, resolve customer issues, ensure that stock levels on the floor are adequate (refilling stock as necessary), identify product performance (good and slow sellers) and report to Director of Retail, process purchases at POS, ensure cleanliness and maintenance of product area and conduct product training for the Spa Front Desk team.

The Spa Retail Specialist at PGA National Resort Responsibilities:

  • Maintain standards in visual merchandising, stock organization, loss prevention, and all other duties as directed by Retail or Spa Management.
  • Responsible for applying makeup, providing a great customer experience and producing maximum profitability in the retail department.
  • Strategize to enhance customer service and drive store sales.
  • Sell products and services to customers, explaining and demonstrating their advantages.
  • Greet customers, offer information and place/follow up on special orders.
  • Meet sales goals.
  • Generate sales and process purchases at POS.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of product area.
  • Assist Operations team with ticketing and displaying merchandise on the selling floor.
  • Ensure that stock levels on the floor are adequate (refilling stock as necessary).
  • Identify product performance (good and slow sellers) and report to Director of Retail.
  • Responsible for conducting monthly inventory and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Resolve customer issues with products.
  • Conduct product training for spa front desk team.
  • Flexibility with schedule for variety of shifts, weekends, evenings, holidays and special events or work in other retail outlets if needed.
  • Show positive attitude to company and associates.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with spa employees and other departments’ staff members.

Education and Experience: 1 year of cosmetic/retail sales experience, flexibility with schedule for a variety of shifts, weekends, evenings, holidays and special events or work in other retail outlets if needed. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Other Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of cash register, calculator, typewriter/keyboard, computer, credit card and check machines.

Responsibility and Authority: Ability to effectively communicate with all departments, regular communication with Director of Spa, all Spa Managers, and with all Spa and Salon employees. Ability to maintain a high level of service and discipline with all Spa departments.
