The New York based Luxury Sales Director will have defined goals with a strong focus on market share, revenue and ADR growth, and development of accounts from Luxury Agencies and Consortia in the United States and globally on behalf of Park Hyatt New York. 

This position will be responsible for account management, developing strategic account plans, communicating brand differentiation through brand programs, agency events, roadshows, tradeshows, B2B marketing and other sales activities.  Will be responsible for Luxury Agency penetration with a focus on Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia and will have significant interaction with members of luxury consortia agencies.

This role will support cross-functional teams within Hyatt and assist in the development and implementation of Hyatt’s Travel Advisor program.  The position will be responsible for managing travel expenses within the set budget and will travel as required for agency visits, account reviews, trade shows, meetings and familiarization trips throughout the year.  This individual will be responsible for achieving quarterly quota with annual targets and metrics. 

Main Responsibilities

• Sales Calls / Revenue & Market share growth.

• Implement strategy plan for portfolio of Accounts in order to meet/or exceed revenue/market share goals for Luxury Agencies

• Building and maintaining strong client relations and developing accounts to increase market share across all revenue streams – locally, nationally and internationally

• Business travel to Account portfolio, QBR’s, Tradeshows, Sales Calls and Fam Trips. 

• Orchestration of account plans and collaborating with other Directors & Manager/Coordinator to drive production and revenue to both group and Agency transient segments. 

• Interacts with the operation team to ensure understanding of guest needs and in creating a working relationship within all areas of the operation

• Able to work independently and makes decisions based on established policies and procedures.  

• Supports/leads/coordinates tradeshows, events, appreciation events, brand initiatives, travel agency program and other sales tactics. Collaborates with the Hyatt Sales Force and other business functions to successfully implement these activities

• Communicates and promotes Hyatt's brand differentiation and brand essence to the market.

 • Actively research from Account portfolio B2B opportunities in driving revenue, brand awareness and total account management from North America market for our hotels/resorts and brands globally

 • Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values.

Qualifications

 • 5 years’ experience with the Luxury Consortia programs and agencies for a luxury hotel group.

• Has worked within hotel sales operations, managed action plans, budgets and collaborated with team members.

• Strong knowledge of the Luxury Consortia market throughout the United States and globally.

• Experience in transient corporate sales an asset

Education:

• 4 year degree preferred and minimum 5 years luxury hotel sales experience

• Fluent in English and additional languages a plus

Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job:

• Strong knowledge and command of Envision (CRM), Lanyon (RFPs), Hotelligence Agency 360 where applicable

• Proficient in Social Media, Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
