About This Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the sales division, constantly developing strategies to solicit new and retain existing business, should have strong internet marketing abilities and an aggressive and innovative approach to sales. 

Responsibilities:

  • Works on a consistent basis with sales personnel to generate new accounts, maintain existing accounts, implement sales strategies to achieve maximum sales generation and optimal revenue growth for the hotel.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing accounts to increase customer satisfaction and account revenue.
  • Establish and monitor all web marketing and third-party channel marketing opportunities.
  • Travel to meet with or call individual corporate, social and convention clients by telephone or site visits.
  • Write negotiated rate contracts and letters to stay competitive, as well as organize all other arrangements as they relate to business for the hotel.
  • Direct and manage all groups, transient and catering/banquet sales activities to maximize revenue for the hotel.
  • Responsible for effectively selling the hotel, with a strong focus on third party channel marketing.
  • Accurate and timely preparation of sales contracts and group resumes. Review function contracts prior to distribution to client and hotel staff.
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the Sales Office and clients.
  • Motivate, empower and coach the sales team throughout the employment cycle to create a positive work environment and culture.
  • Provides guest service and timely follow up that meets or exceeds customer expectations and company standards.

Guest Service:

Accountable for client satisfaction by ensuring service standards are met and clients' needs are responded to in a timely manner.

Ensures effective communication of client needs from sales to appropriate operational departments to ensure guest satisfaction.

Resolves client complaints and concerns in courteous and friendly manner, focuses on service recovery when applicable.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills including follow up, time management, ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze financial and competitive data to make informed decisions.
  • Prior experience leading, motivating and managing successful sales teams.
  • Ability to positively communicate and interact with all hotel departments.
  • 2 years of previous experience within hotel sales required.
