About This Job

Description

The Restaurant Point of Sale (POS) and Project Coordinator is the in-house POS expert of the F&B team for information technology that is responsible for effective POS software support and general POS hardware/software support, including programming in the POS database, basic POS help activity, new venue opening support of all POS restaurant technology, defines, maintains, and programs POS databases, and translates user requirements into functional technical specifications. Other responsibilities include conducting research, processing requests, procurement, developing new strategies, and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow, and improve office function, database, and program management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages all POS upgrades, product upgrades, implementations/installations, and related POS projects, including software development.
  • Coordinates w/IT installations, maintains and upgrades all hardware, software, and related IT equipment while ensuring optimal POS performance, with minimal downtime.
  • Provides end user training and assistance where required.
  • Assists management with the operation of digital menu boards.
  • Develops and maintains POS database and all related functionality.
  • Performs remote support activity to solve POS functionality and/or operational issues.
  • Ensures that POS security procedures are implemented and enforced.
  • Coordinates and support the 3rd party Help Desk.
  • Conducts research on technology development and presents innovation items to F&B Directors.
  • Performs new venues opening on-site support.
  • Serves as the liaison between operations and support partners once projects have been kicked off to ensure efficiency and effective completion of deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Analyzes project requirements and gives input on the use of programs and technology and provides strategic managing of new development projects with designing, testing, installing, and monitoring of new systems.
  • Oversees documentation, updates, and follow up for all projects, initiatives, and tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

Requirements

Education/Experience/Qualifications

  • Associates degree in related field required.
  • Bachelors degree in related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant and direct experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement.
  • Minimum one (1) year office experience required.
  • Restaurant POS and/or computer programming required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations

  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • Must obtain and maintain a current Food Handlers Card within 90 days of employment.
