Description

Wyoming Horse Racing LLC is seeking a Marketing Director to oversee, coordinate, and participate in the development of marketing strategies and products for our growing organization.  This position will be based out of our corporate office in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a targeted customer base, establishing strategies and production standards for the accomplishment of objectives.
  • Ensure performance and profit objectives for short and long-term goals are met.
  • Prepare and execute all special/promotional events and determine the targeted database selection for events.
  • Review analysis and identifies promotions/events scheduled for the gaming customer base to ensure targeted markets are maintained.
  • Maintain tiered player’s club.
  • Direct and monitor all marketing analysis for accuracy and report pertinent information to the General Manager.
  • Must be experienced in campaign management, Profit and Loss statements, budget, and market plans.
  • Prepare accurate and informative marketing reports, plans, conclusions, and recommendations to present at weekly team meetings.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a player base tracking system to ensure quality player data is input and output for all marketing purposes.
  • Resolves conflicts and facilitates changes in structure of marketing group to ensure objective fulfillment and swift response to marketing problems and opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
  • Coordinate with database manager to analyze customer data base and makes recommendations for direct mail campaigns, ensuring ADT (Average Daily Theo) tier levels receive correct offer incentives.
  • Analyze customer database for demographics, spend, revenue, profitability, frequency, recency, past dues, in-actives, and make recommendations to increase visitations and spend.  
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents, such as technical journals, financial and statistical reports and the ability to respond to complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to present information to General Manager, public groups and/or WHR ownership. .
  • Ability to travel to various property locations around the state as deemed necessary. Must demonstrate leadership, fairness, and sensibility to the customers and employees.
  • Successful candidate must be an experienced, results oriented, and hands-on professional.

Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Five years’ experience in gaming industry marketing management on a director/manager level in a leadership role.

Language Skills and Reasoning Ability

  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the gaming site.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, gaming site environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees and members of the business community in all situations.

Must be 21 or older.  Candidate must be able to successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen and Wyoming Gaming Commission approval.
