Duties

Under the general supervision of the Army Recreation Machine Program's (ARMP) Control & Analysis (C&A) Division Chief, serves as a Lead Research Specialist. Serves as research team lead for the C&A division and is responsible for developing, conducting, and interpreting varied organizational research and analytical studies, both qualitative and quantitative.Administers and analyzes formal research projects associated with slot gaming machines. Develops and maintains systems for gathering and warehousing data analytics. Provides alternatives and consequences. Researches and identifies out of tolerance variances associated with cash handling and gaming machine performance.Administers and analyzes risk assessment projects. Writes division standard operating procedures. Determines research methodology and devises sampling plans. Engages in revenue forecasting. Designs data collection instruments.Develops research-based conclusions and recommendations. Maintains broad and comprehensive databases and systems. Prepares technical papers, reports, studies, and briefings covering research findings. Uses a variety of presentation techniques, graphic representations, and models to explain results and assist personnel in evaluating alternatives.

Qualifications

Qualifications must be clearly verifiable in tour resume. Government positions must include Pay Plan, Series, Grade, To and From Dates, and Government Agency/Department. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position.Knowledge of concepts and procedures associated with research and sampling design and the methods and techniques used for analyzing and interpreting raw machine-level data.Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in various quantitative analytical techniques (e.g. correlation and regression, ANOVA, cluster analysis, factor and discriminant analyses, t-tests).Working experience with specialized statistical and data base computer software (STATA, SPSS, R, Python).Ability to interpret the results of qualitative and quantitative research projects and studies.All Qualified applicants will be rated against the highly qualifying criteria by a rating panel for evaluation of the quality and extent of your total accomplishments, experience and education. The highly qualified candidates may undergo an interview and reference checks.All answers to the Highly Qualifying Criteria must be demonstrated in your resume to get credit.A four-year college degree in a methodologically rigorous discipline that included coursework in research methods, statistics, research design, operational research, or related coursework is desired. Additional Information

Salary Range:  $75,000 to $85,000 per year
