Whom are we looking for?

We are looking for someone passionate about creating a genuine customer experience while achieving revenue objectives. We want someone to represent the 4 diamond Muse New York with confidence and the spirit of hospitality.  The ideal candidate will have New York City experience and 2 years in a transient sales role. 

You will be responsible for effectively soliciting and securing new business travel and leisure travel accounts and strengthening the relationships and production of existing business travel accounts. You will work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing and Revenue Management to negotiate pricing and optimize production to positively impact hotel revenues.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Working directly with Director of Sales and Marketing and the Director of Revenue Management to negotiate pricing and optimize production to positively impact hotel revenues.
  • Building relationships through proactive account solicitation and responsive sales opportunities; Activities could include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, site inspections, trade shows, etc.
  • Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
  • Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides accurate & comprehensive reporting when needed.
  • Using Knowledge of Market Trends and Target Customer Information to Maximize Revenue.
  • Understanding competitors’ strengths/ weaknesses, current economic trends, supply/demand for midtown.
  • Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (I.E. generating proposal, writing contracts, customer correspondence and etc.).
  • Achieves personal sales goals.
  • Gains understanding of the location’s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business concerns, offering better business solutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Should have at least 2 years of experience in Sales in the Hospitality Industry.

New York City Business Transient and independent hotel experience 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Some group experience helpful.  

Opera PMS, Lanyon, and Delphi FDC knowledge preferred.
