Description

Hilton’s Commercial Services organization is comprised of over 4,000 team members driving our sales, revenue management, call center, and analytics functions. These functions are the core of Hilton’s “commercial engine” and are key to Hilton’s ability to drive profitable growth.

What will I be doing? Working with the Director Distribution Compliance, the Senior Manager will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities required to operate a fully effective Third-Party Compliance Program and Rate Parity Lifecycle in line with Hilton’s distribution standards. You will be required to develop, maintain, and evaluate adherence to distribution standards and contractual obligations. This position will also manage multiple professionals responsible for maintaining rate parity and ensuring distribution standard compliance across hotels and distribution partners globally.

Additionally, you will lead all aspects of a connected ecosystem of data, technology, tools, techniques, and processes to operationalize third-party channel optimization initiatives. You will oversee the efficiency of high transparency and high impact optimization and channel projects.

More specifically, you will:

  • Lead the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of the Company’s Third Party Compliance risk management and rate parity lifecycle programs.
  • Identify and mitigate compliance risk in the third-party space.
  • Drive data-driven problem-solving and standard practice optimization solutions.
  • Handle routine internal audits to ensure the business is operating in accordance with third-party distribution standards.
  • Create, implement, operationalize and enforce policies, procedures, notifications, and penalties required for Hilton hotels to operate in accordance with price match guarantee provisions and rate parity standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to complete and monitor key third-party compliance functions and risk areas in accordance with Hilton distribution objectives.
  • Partner with global business functions and teams to understand third-party strategy and ensure compliance risks are considered and mitigated.
  • Update and maintain processes and databases that support Hilton compliance reporting needs.
  • Maintain relationships with third-party rate shop vendors.
  • Ensure that the channel plans are supporting key company strategies, and ensure that optimization initiatives are completed on time and in line with enterprise directives.
  • Partner with internal and external parties to deliver on third-party initiatives with tight timelines, high visibility, and material impact.
  • Define and articulate project goals to both Hilton and external partners in the form of presentations and reporting to drive actionable recommendations.
  • Oversee project results through timely qualitative and quantitative measures.
  • Implement new operational and marketing initiatives and optimize current plans.
  • Drive multiple large-scale optimization projects.
  • Provide strategic and measurable recommendations to improve optimization efforts by identifying key trends and demonstrating the use of third-party analytics.
  • Manage channel performance data at a granular and macro level.
  • Lead the development of a framework to understand and quantify the impact of product decisions on key business performance drivers.
  • Conduct hotel-level training webinars and build various guides, training collateral, and standard methodology documents related to compliance and optimization initiatives.
  • Respond to partner and hotel queries and provide as-needed recommendations.

Requirements

  • Strong strategic and critical thinking, project management, problem resolution, presentation, facilitation, teamwork, and influencing skills required
  • Dedicated self-starter who can work independently coordinate and prioritize work, while collaborating across the interpersonal matrix

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Eight (8) years of work experience
  • Five (5) years of related work experience (e.g. revenue management, travel distribution technology, project management, or technical roles)
  • Three (3) years of supervisory/managerial experience (1-3 individuals)
  • High proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • 20% travel time

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
  • Ten (10) years of professional experience
  • Six (6) years of supervisory experience
  • Process improvement Certification (e.g., Six Sigma)
