About This Job


The Catering and Conference Services Manager is responsible for coordinating all aspects of assigned contracts booked through the sales and catering team.  This individual plans, masterfully sells, and details all aspects of event orchestration for optimal guest experience, recurring sales opportunities, and sales goal revenue achievement.


·          Manage the detailing process for all definite groups and catering including menu planning, conference set-up, coordination of audiovisual equipment, issuing Banquet Event Orders and obtaining guarantees, communicating changes, distribution of group resume, VIP’s, client introduction, and rooming lists from the client all while maximizing revenues

·          Establish relationship with clients through personalized service.  Partner with sales manager to solicit repeat bookings

·          Handle billing procedures, pre-payments, commissions and all other matters from the point where the Sales Manager turns the business to definite.

·          Attend daily BEO meeting, daily catering, weekly sales, group pickup and resume meeting

·          Act as the main point of contact throughout planning process and onsite, organizing per-conference and post-conference meetings, checking on groups while they are in-house, and introducing clients to appropriate staff who will be assisting onsite

·          Upsell the clients whenever possible in order to increase average checks and encourage additional dining in-house at outlets (i.e. Private Kitchen, Restaurant outlets and spa. 

·          CS will always keep communication flowing and transparent between client, hotel departments, and external resources, ensuring expectations are clear and services are delivered without flaw ensuring a "wow" guest experience.

·          Upsell the clients whenever possible in order to increase average checks, and encourage the use of in-house outlets (Private Kitchen, Restaurant outlets, Spa) 

·          Assist Conference Services team with forecasting accuracy and timely BEO distribution

·          Attend and Conduct site visits and entertain clients as needed

·          Assist Team with Sales as Required

·          Assist with Office Management and SOPs as Required

  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English. Communicates openly and clearly, develops positive working relationships at all levels, and manages conflict effectively.
  • Adapts quickly and positively to new situations and continue to be productive in changing circumstances.
  • Prompt and systematic decision-making skills and prioritizing workload.
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills for working with third-party partners and the internal marketing with an executive team.
  • Due to the cyclical nature of sales, the work schedule may vary to reflect the business needs of the hotel/clients.
