The Corporate Responsibility Coordinator role is responsible for executing on Hyatt’s community impact, human trafficking, disaster relief and philanthropic initiatives. Scope of responsibility includes: support the tracking, benchmarking and reporting of the company’s volunteer and philanthropic efforts globally, including the publication and development of all related content for Hyatt’s corporate responsibility and other Environmental Social Governance (ESG) reporting requirements. This individual ensures that Hyatt meets its community engagement objectives by leading and managing community partnerships that advance the company’s philanthropic goals.

The Corporate Responsibility Coordinator Intern will support Hyatt’s Corporate Volunteer efforts, support key initiatives like Global Month of Service & Hyatt Community Grants Program (to include funds). This individual will also assist with RiseHY by supporting communications with partnership development and strategic partners. The Coordinator will be responsible for researching/identifying new Community Based Organization(CBO) partners, education partners, and possible mentor systems. Additionally, this individual will help provide support other efforts like Hyatt Hotels Foundation donation tracking and agreements, RiseHY report reach to HR managers and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) portal inquiries.



  • 1-2 years of total experience in a Corporate environment
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in supporting related efforts to include: volunteering, volunteer/event planning, community engagement, organization, time management, event planning, customer service, research experience
  • Experience in Human Resources in a plus
  • Experience in hospitality is a plus
  • Ability to work agilely, respectfully and with impact across multiple cultures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and HRIS (ADP preferred).
  • Comfortable with database tools and programs like Google, Blackbaud, VolunteerMatch/CyberGrants, YourCause


  • Pursuing a Bachelors degree in communication, environmental sustainability, human resources, marketing/public relations or related field

  • Proven ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential situations with a high degree of professionalism, maturity and discretion.
  • Effective coach with an ability to influence and manage conflict.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while keeping the needs of the business partners top of mind. Strong organization and planning skills, proactively prioritizing critical work.
  • Approachable with an ability to readily develop rapport and build relationships while quickly building credibility.
  • A resourceful self-starter with a bias toward taking well-informed action.
  • High level of detail orientation.
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills, and knowledgeable about social media channels.
  • High degree of self-structure in proactively setting goals and prioritizing critical tasks.
  • Empathetic; possess the ability to make tough decisions without damaging partnerships.
  • Understanding of both non-profit and corporate environments.
  • Ability to work respectfully and with impact across multiple cultures. 
  • Excellent customer service skills including the ability to communicate with external stakeholders and community contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
