The Hilton Columbus/Polaris, located in the vibrant Polaris community, is currently seeking a Front Desk Supervisor for our 254 Room AAA Four Diamond property with over 15,000 square feet of meeting/event space. As the Front Desk Supervisor you would be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk under the direction of our Front Office Manager. What will I be doing?

Supervise the daily operations of the Front Desk staff to maximize revenues and profits while attaining optimal guest satisfaction.

Greet, interact and WOW our guests by delivering the highest level of guest service! The Front Desk is the "Grand Central Station" in our hotel and we strive to communicate, relate and exceed our guests' high expectations every single day. You play a huge part in this vital role! You will lead by example to our front desk agents and night auditors, always displaying a positive and professional demeanor. You will assist in interviewing, hiring and training new team members, while taking ownership of your shift. 

You will quickly respond to our guest’s special requests, needs, problems, issues and concerns and accommodate groups to ensure optimal levels of guest satisfaction and repeat business.

You will implement company programs and supervise the daily operations of the Front Desk to comply with SOPS and LSOPs, maximize revenues, and motivate associates to ensure an optimal level of quality service and hospitality are provided to the hotel customers.

A calm, but alert demeanor is necessary, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy hotel activity, serving as a role model for fellow team members. Resolve customer complications and complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation and determining the most effective solutions. Make decisions and take action based on previous experience and good judgment, sometimes revising approach to accommodate unusual situation.  Authorize revenue allowances to remedy problems only after other alternative solutions have been offered.

In order to maintain a positive guest and associate experience, your work habits should always meet and strive to exceed hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality and attendance.  You should be adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, have the ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something.

As an associate of the Hilton Columbus/Polaris, you will also be an associate of Crescent Hotels & Resorts, one of the nation's largest and fastest growing hospitality management companies. As a full time associate you will be eligible for partially employer paid health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 100% employer paid life insurance at one times your annual salary available on the first of the month after 60 days of employment. You will also be eligible for participation in our 401K program after 6 months of employment, during monthly enrollments, with a match of 50 cents on the dollar up to 6% and a 5 year progressive vesting schedule. You will also accrue vacation and personal time each paycheck at a rate of 5 days of vacation and 4 personal days after one year (these accruals are based on the average hours you work.) After three months of employment you can begin utilizing any accrued personal time and after six months of employment you can begin utilizing any accrued vacation time. Full time associates also receive holiday pay for seven paid holidays a year. Upon offer of employment candidates must be willing to submit to social security verification and criminal background check. MVR checks may also be conducted if the position requires the associate to operate a company vehicle.
