Working closely with the Spa & Salon Manager to guide guests through their spa experience while ensuring all service and facility standards are met. This position demonstrates a passion for people, encouraging and inspiring guests to elevate their health and beauty, while creating a memorable best in class guest service and safety experience. Providing best in class in-person and phone contact service with guests at the Spa’s front desk and retail area. Working in a merchandise-selling environment, responsibilities of the Spa Receptionist also includes operational, retail and service excellence, and meeting or exceeding Department financial goals. This position is also responsible for ensuring operational excellence while providing a relaxing, clean and safe environment for all guests, team members and vendors, while safeguarding enterprise assets and guaranteeing departmental integrity. The Spa Receptionist supports the team and guests by thoroughly understanding all spa and salon services so that they can best guide and inform guests on their journey. The Spa Receptionist is an outgoing, motivated individual capable of adapting to change in a fast-paced service driven environment.
  • Initiates and connects in-person and by phone contact with guests to ensure all reservations for Spa and Salon services are executed with highest level of guest service; with a sense of urgency with each guest. 
  • Assists guests with booking changes, and inquiries regarding reservations.
  • Conducts guest database profile research to identify special requests and guide guest to appropriate provider or service to meet their needs. 
  • Ensures guest database information is updated and accurate at all times; verifies addresses, phone numbers, email and preferences
  • Responsible for point of sale transactions and confirms accuracy of all point of sales activities while properly handling multiple forms of tender. 
  • Maintain spa appearance and cleanliness at all times.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Assist in all areas of the spa operation as directed by management
  • Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of the position
  • Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules, weekend, and holidays to reflect the needs of the facility
  • Must comply with rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the facility
  • Ability to be efficient in a fast paced environment
  • Attention to and accuracy with details
  • Participate in scheduled meetings as requested
  • Perform other job duties as requested


  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum three years guest service experience required.
  • Previous experience in a luxury resort spa or retail setting preferred.
  • Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, friendly, outgoing and have excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to initiate and engage in conversations in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Physical Demands

  • Work is performed in a Spa and Salon setting.
  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
  • May be exposed to smoke
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Constant contact with executives, department management, employees, and guests.
  • Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.
  • Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Eye/hand coordination.
  • Use of standard office equipment.
  • Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols
