About This Job

The Development team drives new business opportunities for the company and its three hotel brands, 1 Hotels, Treehouse Hotels, and Baccarat hotels, through relationships with owners, developers, and other external groups as well as working closely with key internal stakeholders such as Legal, Design, Revenue Management, and Finance.

What will I be doing?

The Development Analyst will report to the Director of Development at SH Hotels & Resorts and will be responsible for financial projections and returns analysis for new opportunities. The job function includes a focus on brand pitch materials and working closely with the Operations and Design teams to garner support and engagement in the review of potential deals.

In this role, the candidate will interact regularly with the SVP of Development and other key leadership, as well as business partners in Legal, Design, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Finance. Given the nature of the role, particularly the extensive interactions with internal and external constituents, the candidate will need to be a self-starter that possesses excellent interpersonal skills and takes initiative.

More specifically, you will:

  • Generate hotel profit and loss projections, returns analysis, and contract valuations.
  • Educate self on the brand(s) and work on focused pitch decks for competitive RFP processes.
  • Organize internal performance metrics and resources efficiently, and leverage third parties to procure market data as required.
  • Compose emails, memos and internal reports for deal approvals and senior leadership updates.

  • Hard worker who possesses a demonstrated history of strong academic performance.

Salary Range:

80,000 - 95,000

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in hotel real estate or an equivalent analytical field for a minimum two years
  • Working knowledge of Uniform System of Accounts for Hotels
  • Knowledge of hotel industry brands
  • Understanding of return on investment and valuation concepts
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
