The Product Experience and Prototypes (PE&P) Team is a critical function responsible for the on-property guest experience within the Focused Services and All Suites Category. This team drives the delivery of a steady flow of innovation both big and small and in addition, is accountable for the following objectives:

  • Inspect and analyze the on-property guest experience
  • Optimize physical products and operating models
  • Integrate above-property innovations with on-property experience
  • Initiate and lead product teams designed to deliver new customer offerings

The Director will work closely with the Global Brand Heads (GBH’s) and other Brand Leaders to develop and deliver innovations and products that improve the guest experience, drive Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) premiums, and improve owner returns.

  • You will manage the day-to-day execution of prioritized product initiatives
  • Key responsibilities include study and understand guest and owner needs, build brand design evolution strategies and create case documentation, generate project charters, be responsible for scope of work creation, and lead internal teams and external agency partners in a matrixed environment, provide project status updates to brand and functional leaders, build cost comparison analysis for strategic leadership decisions and development awareness
  • Projects include development of prototype packages, brand decor package specifications, design guides, renovation guides, team member uniform programs, brand OS&E guides, and other products impacting guest experience
  • Projects supported by providing a brand and product lens include brand sustainability plans, future of fitness, brand graphics and collateral, CALA regional development documentation, fixed renovation cycle management, food and beverage initiatives, and requested projects
  • Lead strategic projects and programs from need identification to implementation, including leadership of functional subject matter experts and external resources (consultants and agency partners). Additionally, establish and maintain strong collaborative partnerships within the organization and across the enterprise

Additional scope of the role includes but is not limited to:

  • Support PE&P Sr. Director and Brand Leaders by leading high priority projects and initiatives, including physical product optimization and development, room and public space prototypes, food, and beverage spaces, etc.
  • End to end product development efforts using various methodologies; research, product testing, learning, adaptation, and through implementation
  • Serve as liaison between Brand, PE&P Team, Architecture Design and Construction (AD&C), Global Design Services (GDS), Food and Beverage (F&B), Brand Personality, Brand Innovation & Planning, Corporate Responsibility, Fitness, Marketing, Hilton Supply Management (HSM) teams, and craft processes to encourage partnership, motivation, and mutual accountability
  • Lead the execution of activities in customer and competitive research, industry trends, innovation, and team capability building
  • Project management of 1M

Requirements

  • Ability to develop new ways of working across the organization, think strategically about the organization, team, and the project’s role
  • Experience leading and growing people

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Seven (7) Years of Relevant Hospitality Design / Brand Experience
  • Five (5) years of Project Management Experience
  • Up to 20% travel

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree or MA/MS Master’s Degree
  • Five (5) years of experience working in strategy, management consulting, and/or corporate
  • Experience conducting SWOT analysis and structure presentations by using the pyramid principle
  • Experience/knowledge of Agile and Sprint project methodology
  • Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management certification
