Position Statement

You are an experienced restaurant, bar and retail concept creator and brand development professional with experience in complex business with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for the management and execution of Brand Food & Beverage development strategies and solutions across all brands in Middle East, Africa and Turkey, primarily focused on restaurant and bar development, while supporting the new brand and product F&B development lifecycle. You are responsible for contributing and supporting high quality, profitable and contemporary food and beverage solutions that aim to exceed the guest expectation within our franchised and managed hotels, enhance the value proposition for our brands and appeal to the local dining clientele within the market.

Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Brand Food & Beverage Development – EMEA will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Conduct market research and analysis to support Brand F&B Development in region and as needed, contributing to the team’s database regarding trends, customer profiles and market research

• Manage the concept development process for the Brand Food & Beverage Development department, creating detailed concept briefs for restaurant and bar projects in InDesign and PowerPoint for review, distribution to internal and external stakeholders

• Assist Snr Directors Brand Food & Beverage Development (EMEA) with creative development/ presentation support using skills in graphic design and copy writing

• Produce and deliver presentations and communications tools/aides to support Brand F&B Development’s mission and strategy, especially in the set up and growth of paid concepting and branding services for franchise owners in region

• Support/manage special F&B projects including new brand and product development, as needed

• Assist where able on the repackaging and creation of projects involving restaurant and bar prototypes

Requirements

• Facilitate easy access to resources and materials referenced above to Brand F&B Development and business stakeholders

• Support/Manage third party relationships to ensure quality controlled and on time project delivery

• Drive effective project management timelines for Brand F&B Development to ensure on time delivery of projects and updates

• Ensure the continued communication and regular meetings with brand management teams, F&B Operations, Hotel Operations, AD&C and other internal stakeholders

• Identify and recommend third party business partners in areas of design, electronic media and operational brand partnerships

• Track and communicate continuous status and feedback related to departmental progress and performance in collaboration with the Brand Operations department

• Manage development and maintenance process for entries specific to EMEA within the The Lobby online resource and other relevant centralized digital resources and project management tools

• Manage the process of updates to global Brand F&B Development content and resources in a centralized repository including marketing materials, PR and brand/creative assets, programs and initiatives collateral, performance analytics/SALT, financial performance and project pipeline

• Support rollout and support of proprietary project tracking/reporting tool (EMEA)

• Manage internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve the performance, culture, efficiency and standards of the Brand Food & Beverage Development department

• Identify F&B related marketing, PR and corporate communications opportunities and present same to Senior Directors, Brand F&B Development, EMEA

• Record and prepare accurate minutes of meetings and plan regional team meetings (where required)

• Ensure tracking and reporting of departmental expenditures and compares results vs. budget and progress achieved

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• BA/ BSc /degree or equivalent, or significant work experience in lieu thereof

• Degree or academic study in Interior Design, Graphic Design, Culinary/F&B Management, Business Administration, Marketing/Branding and or General/Liberal Arts

• Ability to demonstrate a proven track record in a diverse hospitality industry experience preferred, with a mix of experience in operational F&B/hospitality

• Experience in a design or concepting agency also preferred as part of experience mix

• Rich and significant knowledge of current hospitality brands, F&B concept, restaurant/bar design, trends

• Management or internship experience in Food & Beverage operations or related industry

• Excellent presentation and public speaking skills, as well as excellent written communication skills

• High proficiency in MS PowerPoint, InDesign, Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Suite, Sharepoint

• Attention to detail

• Ability to manage change, resolve conflicts and ensure collaboration within teams and/or units

• Maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity

• Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information

• Strong problem-solving skills, including ability to effectively collaborate with others

• Ability to assemble general project budget, timeline and coordinate project management through execution to launch

• Ability to prioritize short and long-term project work in coordination with multiple stakeholders

• Ability to work independently and manage independent work within larger groups as appropriate

• Ability to travel up to 30% of time

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in English and at least one other regional language
