Description

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Deals games with accuracy while maintaining game integrity
  • Handles cheques.
  • Shared responsibility with all Team Tropicana to ensure the cleanliness, repair, safety and professionalismof the property, ensuring all areas are maintained at the highest level of standard, by either addressing the issue personally, or when necessary, contacting the appropriate department immediately to handle.
  • Ensures all guest questions and concerns are addressed immediately, either personally, or by contactingthe appropriate department, supervisor, or member of management, to obtain the answer to the question, or obtain assistance in resolving the concern. Owns the situation until the situation is resolved, or the guest is in direct contact with the Team Member who will resolve the situation.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum of (1) year Dealing experience.
  • Able to deal multiple games- a minimum of 2 major games and carnival games a plus
  • Must be able to stand in place for long periods of time.
  • Ability to continuously stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to handle more than one function at a time by being well organized and attentive to details. Must be able to respond to visual and auditory cues. Must be able to speak and understand English
  • Exceptional customer service focus including attention to producing quality results.
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents In English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

Tropicana Las Vegas

The Tropicana Las Vegas is a casino hotel on the Las Vegas Strip on the corner of Tropican Avenue and Las Vegas Blvd, NV. 

It is owned and operated by Bally's Corporation, on land leased from Gaming and Leisure Properties. It offers 1,470 rooms, a 50,000-square-foot  gaming floor with over 600 slots and 30 table games, as well as a sports book. 

Food & beverage venues include Robert Irvine's Public House, the Red Lotus Asian Kitchen and Oakville Tuscan Grille. Entertainment includes a 1,100 seat performance theater and 100,000 sq ft  of convention and meeting space. The hotel also features a pool, spa, salon and fitness center.
