The Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak is looking for a FT Seasonal - Gift Shop Attendant to join our amazing Team in our Dreamy Draw Market!

**Hours: AM and PM shifts including weekends and holidays**

**Seasonal Position - February - September**

    Assist guests in choosing quality jewelry, gift, clothing and sundry items and ensure proper payment is collected for the merchandise while maintaining Crescent’s standards of service. This includes performing all duties of the coffee bar.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • With an attentive and friendly attitude, assist guest in finding merchandise to purchase using effective selling techniques. Serve and prepare beverage and food orders to guest. Operate the coffee machine in a clean and safe manner in compliance with Maricopa County Health Department.
    • Accurately ring merchandise into a moderately complex cash register, being certain to ring each piece of merchandise into the correct category. Receive payment of one of several forms (cash, credit card, travelers check or room charge), and make change as needed. Wrap box or bag merchandise for guest.
    • Receive merchandise from shipping, accurately count in and price and attractively merchandise items in Shop.
    • Continually stock merchandise from back stock areas (office, closet and lowboys). Restock and maintain established inventories of supplies and product. Thoroughly clean Shop several times daily with cleaning solution and properly clean silver jewelry with silver polish. Monitor and accept full responsibility of cleanliness of the coffee bar and area.
    • Complete proper opening and closing procedures as stated in training manual, to include counting newspapers and recording, counting house bank, running necessary tapes from cash register to complete daily paperwork. Deposit shift cash and check envelope behind Front Desk and check in and out Resort Gift Shop keys in the Resort Security Office.

    Supportive Functions:

    In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

    • Promptly answer telephone in a friendly and professional manner. Assist with directions y and answer any other questions guests may have.
    • Correctly process a refund or exchange for merchandise being returned.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
