Description

Spire Hospitality, a fast-growing, hotel management company with 30 full-service premium branded properties (Independent Boutique, Marriott, IHG, and Hilton) across the United States is seeking an Accounting Clerk for Spire Hospitality. This is an In-Office position at the Corporate office in Irving, TX.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Accounting reconciliation of accounts
  • AP & AR support in the corporate office
  • Maintain over/short log for each shift each day and compile information for corporate audit packs
  • Monthly bank/balance sheet reconciliations for JV books.
  • Audit capital expenditure projects for the tax liability.
  • Maintain loan agreement synopsis as it relates to fixed assets and reserves requirements.
  • Support Fixed Asset Accountant with capital funding and reserve requisitions.
  • Prepare Sage AP interface conversion and import to M3 accounting software.
  • Reconcile, code, and process corporate credit card statements.
  • Maintain cash flow schedules.
  • Perform other accounting functions to support the Corporate office accounting team.

Specific Job Knowledge and Skills

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the job's essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Knowledge of accounting operations to include all aspects, such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to operate a 10-key by touch.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a computer.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently to understand and communicate with fellow team members and guests. Must have excellent telephone etiquette skills.

Other Expectations:

  • Regular attendance in the home office that generally fits with an 8:30 am-5 pm or very close to that schedule Monday-Friday.
  • All team members must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of corporate experience preferred but, not required
  • A year of accounting experience required
  • A year of hotel accounting experience is great but, not required
  • Associates degree in accounting or finance preferred
