BASIC FUNCTIONS:  Responsible for creating and managing marketing and advertising programs in all medium for national and area markets in multiple distribution channels. Responsible for managing third party relationships with public relations and advertising firms. This position will work in conjunction with each property’s General Manager and/or Directors of Sales & Marketing to ensure optimal marketing results.

QUALIFICATIONS:  EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• College Degree with a background in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or Business preferred
• Minimum five years experience in the hospitality field required
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with good ability as a trainer
• Work-related analytical experience
• Willing to be entrepreneurial and take risks
• Ability to handle multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a strong team member
• Excellent attention to detail, flexible and adaptable to change
• Ability to operate under pressure and meet or exceed deadlines

• Imagination and creativity skills, focusing on improving financial performance through changing marketing channels
• Prior experience dealing with 3^rd party advertising and public relations companies
• Strong knowledge of electronic marketing techniques and technology
• Prior marketing experience desired in a multi-property environment
• Positive, outgoing and self-motivating individual with pleasant personality
• Ability to maintain a professional manner and appearance in all situations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Effectively promote and market OTH Hotels Resorts and all of its properties.
• Assist and support the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing with day-to-day marketing and public relations efforts with ownership, other departments, and various partnerships.
• Manage relationships with contracted advertising and public relations firms.  This includes routing and assisting with editing press releases, direct marketing programs, local and national advertising and special projects.
• In conjunction with the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, coordinate promotional opportunities and partnerships and ensure they are reported accurately.
• Assist with the coordination of new collateral development, including photo shoots.
• Manage electronic marketing efforts of OTH Hotels Resorts and all hotel on-line distribution channels.
• Coordinate and manage company and property websites.
• Attend trade shows pertinent to market areas and attend meetings, seminars and functions.
• Maintain a working relationship with all property sales and marketing departments.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and make recommendations of changes which would affect operations.
• Maintain accurate forecast and recap information.
• Perform general office duties and assist other personnel as required.
