Hiring Range: This position is anticipated to pay between $48,000 to $64,500 annually, depending on experience. 

All staff in Information Technology Services – regardless of their unique position - are expected to perform their assigned duties in a manner consistent with professional standards, with full awareness of responsibilities toward managing personal and organizational data, with priority regard to delivering customer service, as leaders in learning and adapting to new technologies and in constructive and effective collaboration with colleagues.


Position Summary: The digital workplace strategy is a full approach that aligns internal culture, operational processes, and technology to help Best Friends get things done efficiently and well in a digital workplace. The Digital Workplace Specialist enables a hybrid workforce to connect, collaborate, and do their best work together through tools, training, support and internal communications in a way that aligns with our people-first technology culture. They are a bridge between business challenges and technical solutions. 


Key Responsibilities:

You are responsible and accountable for the culture you add to your team dynamic. 
  • Understand the key digital workplace tools that our organization uses and participate in the roadmap process for those technologies in collaboration with ISO team. 
  • Provide training and support for digital workplace tools, in collaboration with Help Desk team. 
  • Collaborate and interact with developers, stakeholders, systems architects, support teams on issue resolution and change management. 
  • Exercise independent judgment and bring forth data-driven recommendations and insights to inform decision making on organization-wide tools and processes.
  • Stay current on upcoming features of collaboration tools and help business adopt changes.  
  • Build and manage trusted relationships throughout the organization 
  • Create and/or curate training materials for users, ensuring content is up to date on Sharepoint site. Training may include live training, presentations, and recorded content. 
  • Contribute to business processes and policies that define operations for digital workplace systems and processes. 
  • Gather and analyze feedback on training and tools programs for actionable insights into how to optimize tools for great user experiences. 
  • Provide administrative and configuration support for workplace tools like ticket management and document management. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience with configuration and/or training Office365 products (Email, Teams, Calendar. Sharepoint a plus.)
  • Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience understanding business needs and translate them into technical solutions. 
  • Demonstrated experience with vendor management and software selection. 
  • Change management experience to help bring about successful business outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience with resourceful, curious problem solving
  • Comfortable with presenting both through recorded and in person mediums. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements

  • Able to work at a computer for extended periods of time with repetitive typing, arm and hand motion. 
  • Ability to travel as required; not expected to exceed 10%.

Located in the heart of Kanab, Utah, just five miles south of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, the Best Friends Roadhouse & Mercantile welcomes pets and their people. For visitors to the Sanctuary and nearby national parks, it provides a pet-friendly place to stay.

The Roadhouse features 40 rooms as well as a variety of dog- and cat-friendly amenities and services, such as built-in cubbies for snuggling, dog washing stations, pet walking and a fenced dog park area with a splash zone.
