We are currently looking for an experienced Guest Room Attendant for The Marker Hotel in San Francisco. As a Room Attendant, your contribution helps ensure guests have an enjoyable and comfortable stay. What will I be doing? As a Room Attendant, you would be responsible for cleaning guest rooms and responding to guest requests in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

  • Clean guest rooms as assigned, including, but not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, and vacuuming.
  • Change and replenish bed linens, towels, and guest amenities, as needed.
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks, as needed.
  • Stock, maintain, and transport housekeeping supply carts on a daily basis.
  • Dispose of trash and recyclables.
  • Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
  • Perform guest turn-down service, as needed.

    JOB OVERVIEW: To clean and stock guest rooms to ensure Crescent’s high standards of cleanliness at The Marker Hotel.

    REPORTS TO: Executive Housekeeper

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    Must have the ability to communicate in English, fluency in both Spanish and Chinese is a bonus! Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment. Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.

    In order to maintain a positive guest and associate experience, your work habits should always meet and strive to exceed hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance. You should be adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, have the ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job, and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something.

    Safety & Security:

    The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent. Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
