What you will be doing: You will serve as the main point of contact for our banquet and event clients and their guests. Each shift, you will check room set-ups to see that banquet event order directions are completely followed and ensure that all public areas are neat and clean. You will communicate information to servers and housepersons, assign tasks and ensure that events are executed in accordance with the client's expectations. This is an important leadership role that involves communication and professional interaction with banquet staff and all hotel departments.

What you should bring to the table: We are looking for an energetic, professional team player who is skilled in the art of hosting. Prior experience as a banquet server is required. Captain or supervisor experience is strongly preferred. Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette, and knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware, as well as various types of equipment and set up styles used in the meeting rooms is important. This position will involve prolonged periods of standing and walking as well as the ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.

When you will be working: Banquet events are frequently on night and weekends, but the hotel hosts groups every day of the week and all hours of the day. Please complete the availability form before you submit your application.

Qualifications

Prior experience as a banquet captain or supervisor is strongly preferred.
