Job Overview
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer hardware, systems, and software for a company of 1000 employees. They will be an integral part of the Information Technology team, supporting three hotels and a corporate office within Greensboro, NC. Currently, this is an on-premises position with the required ability to travel between each location depending on need.
Responsibilities
Receive, install, and configure new computers and peripherals as required
Work with vendors to troubleshoot any point of sale or property management system issues
Respond to service requests from the help desk system, email, and phone calls
Ensure requests are completed in a timely manner and that supervisor is updated regularly of any unresolved issues or potential high-risk IT situations
Resolve technical issues related to network or service interruptions
Attend in-person meetings with end users to analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose hardware and system problems
Create training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage
Qualifications
An associate degree or higher in information technology or a related technology field is preferred
Industry-specific certifications in relevant technologies or software in lieu of degree may be considered
2-3 years of relevant experience in a customer focused position involving technical knowledge of a companies' products and services
Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution
Comfortable assisting others in person, and working through company help desk software, in addition to other remote access programs
Professional written and interpersonal skills are essential when communicating with customers and clients
Skills required.
Intermediate knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
Working knowledge and troubleshooting ability for all Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
Working knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365 administration is preferred
Hospitality systems and POS experience is highly valued
