JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for monitoring the Labor Management System and for entering payroll data into the payroll system. Enters new employee records in payroll system from information received from Human Resources.Audits payroll data and maintains files and records to produce accurate payroll period reports in accordance with hotel Labor Management System standards. Maintains knowledge of all hotel services/facilities to respond to guest inquiries accurately. Promote positive guest relations.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
2-year degree from an accredited university in Accounting, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years’ experience in finance, accounting, payroll or related professional area. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Maintaining Payroll Tasks and Policies
Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with all hotel/departmental policies and S.O.P’s. Maintains complete knowledge of payroll management system and manual procedures. Prepares reports as directed and distributes to Human Resources, and Finance. Prepares weekly payroll variance report and overtime report. Prepares daily statistics and hours reports. Maintains confidentiality of all information regarding payroll records. Inputs actual payroll hours into payroll system and prints the labor analysis report each week. Completes verification of employment forms according to specifications. Prepares journal entry and posts bi-weekly payroll expense to General Ledger. Maintaining Labor Management System
Monitors and trains the department leaders to meet LMS standards. Attends the regular LMS meetings. Conducts periodic LMS assessments. Maintains LMS KPI scorecard in green zone. Providing Exceptional Customer Service
Maintains knowledge of all hotel services/facilities to respond to guest inquiries accurately. Promote positive guest relations. Handles disputed charges by guests courteously following department procedures. Handles guest and employee complaints following established resolution methods. Identifies and works to eliminate problems or conditions that cause internal and external customers satisfaction to suffer or result in operational inefficiency in terms of decreased productivity, rework or waste.
