The Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak is looking for a Seasonal - Dishwasher to join our amazing Team!

**Hours/Shifts - Flexible with availability during high volume seasonal periods - including weekends and holidays**

Operates dishwasher to properly clean all dishes and cooking utensils used in the kitchen and restaurant. Scrubs pots. Re-stocks all supplies in the assigned areas. General kitchen cleaning duties including the cleaning and mopping of the kitchen floors and trash removal. Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas and back dock.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all areas of the dish room, kitchen aisle, and dock area.
  • Break down trays, set up dish machine, wash dishware, and sort and store all clean china, glass and silver using proper procedures.
  • Empty trashcans and wash inside and outside.
  • Thoroughly clean dock area and dumpster.
  • Break down dish machine and clean inside and outside.
  • Washes dishes and other cooking utensils. Restocks all clean glasses, silverware and plates.
  • Performs general cleaning in order to stay in compliance with the Health department
  • Puts away food stock, and dry goods in their proper location, rotating “first in”, “first out”
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

    SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

    In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

  • Perform general/routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned to adhere to health standards.
  • Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning up unexpected spills or executing special guest requests.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
