We are currently looking for an experienced Corporate Director of Learning & Development to lead Learning and Development at our Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and Retail Operations. We believe that at its core, hospitality is about sharing. It is the act of opening one’s doors, asking others to come in, and showing them kindness and respect. We believe the difference is made in the preparation. Our Corporate Director of Learning and Development will provide a critical role in that preparation.

  • Lead and support leadership development across all Makeready locations, while partnering with the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously and provide input company-wide Learning and Development initiatives.
  • Provide thought leadership and best practice research to identify and design talent management and learning strategies to meet the needs of Makeready.
  • Create tools, resources, and education platform.
  • Design, implement and lead of all OD and L&D initiatives.
  • Partner with Senior Executives and People + Culture to translate business strategy into people focused solutions.
  • Oversee the design and execution of global learning and development platform, processes, strategies, and programs.

Qualifications for Director, Learning & Development

  • Able to show how learning initiatives they have driven have resulted in business impact.
  • 5 years of leadership experience in luxury / lifestyle hospitality
  • Experience in designing, developing, and delivering leadership and training content.
  • Thorough understanding and preferred experience in Hotel and Restaurant Operations
  • Is results-focused and can take projects through from start to finish.
  • Excellent PC skills (especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and ability to present high standards of written documentation.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
