Accountant II

Salary $75,000.00

Essential Functions

• Responsible for the general ledger, cash management, special projects and financial tax reporting.
• Maintains and processes vender records.
• Manage Accountant I and assist Manager/Directors to ensure all deliverables meeting deadlines set by the Parent Company.

• Preforms end of the month closing activities.
• Manages financial reporting and analysis.
• Executes and reviews automated and non-automated billing.
• Complies with all local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and guidelines.
• Processes accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices.
• Oversees daily reports.
• Responsible for timely billing for all billing accounts.
• Ensures effective management of all accounts.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Essential Requirements

• Experience with computer software such as Microsoft Office and automated financial systems
• Ability to input and access information into a computer
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with staff

Knowledge/Work Experience

• Must be 21 years or older
• BS/BA degree in accounting or related field
• Three (3) year accounting experience required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the New York State Gaming Commission
• Knowledge of gaming regulations and tax regulations, cash reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, and monthly close and financial statement preparation

Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability

Ability to compute mathematical calculations. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to decipher various reports and maintains reports upon request with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
