Description

Located in the heart of Downtown Riverside, the beautiful and iconic Mission Inn Hotel and Spa is currently seeking creative bartenders to join our beverage team. In this role, your primary objective will be to create an atmosphere where our guests can savor the good life with inspiring food and beverage. You will be producing and serving signature craft cocktails with hospitality and style.

What you will be doing:

• Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily occupy forecast.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks. Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
• Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to service of alcoholic beverages and food safety.
• Input orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
• Receive cash from guests, makes any change needed, verify validity of charges, records charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys.
• Lock up and stores all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Positive Attitude with a team first mentality
• Ability to maintain high levels of professionalism; treat others with respect and consideration regardless of situation.
• Ability to manage difficult or emotional customers or situations; includes ability to respond promptly to guest requests
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
• Basic knowledge of cocktail development
• Ability to follow a recipe to build cocktail

For applicants who will be working in California, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $15.50 per hour. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, work location, etc. Crescent Hotels is a multi-state employer and the salary ranges indicated herein may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
