Description

Located in the heart of Downtown Riverside, the beautiful and iconic Mission Inn Hotel and Spa has immediate openings for energetic, outgoing, experienced and customer service oriented individuals to fill the position of Front Desk Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership to Guest Service associates to ensure consistent quality customer service is delivered.

What you will be doing:

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff. Assign and instruct guest service agents in details of work. Observes performance and encourages improvement.
  • Respond to guest’s special requests, needs, problems, issues and concerns and accommodate groups to ensure optimal levels of guest satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Implement company programs and supervise the daily operations of the Front Desk to comply with SOPS and LSOPs, maximize revenues, and motivate associates to ensure an optimal level of quality service and hospitality are provided to the hotel customers.
  • Supervise the Guest Service Associates.
  • Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy hotel activity, serving as a role model for clerks and other employees.
  • Resolve customer complications and complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation and determining the most effective solutions.
  • Make decisions and take action based on previous experience and good judgment, sometimes revising approach to accommodate unusual situation.
  • Authorize revenue allowances to remedy problems only after other alternative solutions have been offered.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned
  • Will be required to work overnight shifts

What is required:

  • 2 years Guest Service Experience in a leadership capacity highly preferred
  • Exceptional Customer Service Skill
  • Written and Verbal Communication Skill
  • Ability to resolve problems efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations and respond appropriately

For applicants who will be working in California, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $20.00.-$22.00 an hour. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, work location, etc. Crescent Hotels is a multi-state employer and the salary ranges indicated herein may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
