Staff Accountant - Restaurant Group

We are searching for curious self-starters with a genuine interest in people. These hard-working individuals have always had a natural bend toward hospitality, no matter where they worked, because they’ve always seen themselves as part of something bigger.
This individual loves numbers and is quick to problem solve. Their primary role is maintain accurate accounting records, supporting operations, track expenses and assist with budgeting and forecasting. This role will work with our burgeoning Makeready Restaurant Group, and will be integral in driving it’s success.
Requested Tasks
- Maintain the posting, correcting, reporting, and production of accounts receivables and payables in accordance with hotel SOPs to ensure accurate, timely information is available for reporting
- Handle balancing and reconciliation of complex transactions
- Meet all deadlines necessary to complete month-end in the allowed time
- Assist in preparation of financial and operating reports including trial balances, adjustments and closing entries
- Verify and post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records; prepare statements and vouchers
- This role will work on interdepartmental projects as needed.
Requested Capabilities
- 4+ years of accounting experiences within the restaurant or hospitality industry
- BS Degree in Accounting highly preferred
- Hard-working and detailed personality
- Keen eye for detail and a love for all things numbers
- A drive to grow and learn
