Job Summary:
The Maintenance Engineer I H performs installation, repair, upkeep, and day to day general maintenance of hotel facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Practice OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and comply with all company safety policies and procedures
● Maintain professionalism at all times with co-workers, contractors and customers.
● Assist team with overall daily operations, maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance requirements of building
● Respond, prioritize, complete, and follow-up on customer service requests per Company policy
● Responsible for all service requests including: lighting, restroom/kitchen plumbing, minor electrical, ceiling tiles, door/lock repair
● Perform repair and replace electrical receptacles, switches, sensors, lamps, ballasts, and fixtures
● Perform repair and replace plumbing fixtures, faucets, valves, water heaters, and piping
● Perform the following building general maintenance tasks as required: minor carpentry, painting, drywall repair, ceiling tiles/grid repair/replacement, wallpaper repair, flooring/base repair, minor concrete repair, etc.
● Perform or assist with preventive maintenance of building equipment/systems as directed.
● Perform or assist with installation replacement or repair of building equipment/systems as directed
● Perform fire pump(s) and/or emergency generator(s) tests as required
● Understand and perform water treatment testing and report results to supervisor
● Inspect buildings and grounds for malfunctioning equipment, building issues and unsafe conditions
● Report all known safety hazards, equipment issues and customer concerns
● Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
● Complete other facility maintenance duties as assigned
● Respond quickly to emergency situations
● Comply with Company policies and procedures
● Maintain a safe work environment at all times and report any safety concerns/issues to direct supervisor
● Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent
● Must have a valid driver’s license
● Ability to follow directions and training, but work independently
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
● 1-2 years experience in HVAC Technician, Refrigeration Technician, mechanical, electrical, carpentry and plumbing trade.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Bilingual (English/Spanish)
● Knowledge of basic hand/power tools
● Customer service skills, decision making/problem solving skills, and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
● Ability to lift, move, and/or push up to 50 pounds without assistance
Ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, repetitive bending, and other physical activities
