Senior Bar Manager – Upscale Lounge Concepts
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly polished Senior Bar Manager to oversee operations for two distinct, upscale, high-volume bar concepts: A signature rooftop lounge, and a newly launched, concept-driven bar. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, cultivating exceptional teams, and delivering a consistently elevated and memorable guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Oversight
• Lead all daily operations for both bar venues, ensuring seamless service execution and adherence to brand standards
• Establish and maintain SOPs for service, opening/closing procedures, safety, and compliance
• Oversee bar flow, service pacing, and guest engagement during high-volume periods
• Partner with senior leadership on concept execution, menu evolution, and experiential programming
Team Leadership & Development:
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and mentor supervisory and leadership-level team members
• Develop a strong management bench through coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing training
• Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and hospitality excellence
• Conduct regular evaluations
Scheduling, Payroll & Labor Management:
• Create and manage all staff schedules for both venues, balancing service needs with labor efficiency
• Oversee payroll accuracy, timekeeping compliance, and labor cost controls
• Monitor staffing levels and proactively adjust for seasonality, events, and volume shifts
Guest Experience & Brand Standards:
• Champion a high-touch, distinctive guest experience that reflects the uniqueness of each bar concept
• Lead by example on the floor, engaging guests and resolving service issues with discretion and professionalism
• Ensure consistency in service style, ambiance, music, presentation, and overall vibe
• Uphold brand storytelling and experiential elements that set the venues apart
Financial & Inventory Management:
• Manage beverage cost controls, inventory systems, ordering, and vendor relationships
• Collaborate on pricing strategies, cocktail development, and profitability initiatives
• Review sales performance and key metrics to drive continuous improvement
Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure full compliance with local and state alcohol laws, health regulations, and safety standards
• Maintain responsible service practices and oversee staff certifications
Qualifications & Experience:
• 5–7+ years of progressive bar or lounge management experience, preferably in upscale or luxury environments
• Proven success managing high-volume operations while maintaining elevated service standards
• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring supervisors and manager
