The 91-room hotel is expected to cost between $17 million and $20 million. It’s being built adjacent to the $42 million Riverfront Village student housing complex.
It will have approximately 680-880 square feet of executive meeting space, a fitness center, a business center and a 2,500-square-foot outdoor terrace with bar service and innovative light fare. There are views of the Black Warrior River and the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater.
When complete, the Hotel Indigo will be the third hotel completed in downtown Tuscaloosa within an approximately 18-month span.
