Shuttle Driver / Houseman / Banquet Set-Up

As Houseperson / Banquet/Meeting staff, you will:

• Drive the hotel shuttle to the airport and downtown. (Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years old)

• Transport guests safely to and from the property, carefully handling luggage.

• Graciously welcome guests with open doors and luggage assistance.

• Respond with helpful info about getting around and offer suggestions for local events and activities.

• Ensure the vehicle is clean, gassed, and ready to go, noting any malfunction at the first sign.

• Banquet event teardown and setup

• Understand Banquet Event Orders to safely, efficiently set up and break down events using in-room clearing and aisle tray breakdown buffet procedures.

• Help Lead Banquet Server set up and break down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment.

• Efficiently complete prep and side work to enable focused guest care and maintain an orderly, clean station during events.

• Set up Audio Visual needs for clients and attend to any issues that arise.

• Respond promptly, courteously, and effectively to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns. Know when to alert a manager, should the need arise.

• Make rounds through the halls each shift to ensure public areas are clean and tidy, taking care to remove or replace anything out of order.

• Coordinate and help housekeeping with heavy lifting and priority requests.

• Use your watchfulness to report missing or found articles and any sign of damage or needed repair.

• Be graciously attentive to guests, answering questions and getting additional help when it is needed

Fundamentals

High school education or equivalent experience is required, with prior customer service experience helpful. A Chauffer’s License is helpful but not required; however, you must possess an excellent driving record, verified by Motor Vehicle Administration report. The ability to skillfully drive all vehicle speed shifts for vans, limousines and automobiles is required. You must be able to communicate effectively. This position requires full mobility, lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing or pulling a luggage cart up to 200 pounds.
