Housekeeping / Stewarding Manager (Overnight)

The Pierre Hotel, one of the world's premier luxury destinations, is seeking an Overnight Housekeeping and Stewarding Manager who is experienced in all aspects of Housekeeping and Stewarding back of house operations. We are in search of a person who is hands-on and engaging and will ensure the smooth daily operations of the overnight housekeeping and stewarding departments.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Manage and supervise the overnight cleaning and maintenance of the hotel’s back of house, public areas, and the building’s exterior
• Oversee and coordinate the activities of all overnight Housekeeping and Stewarding team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Ensure the proper use and care of all machinery and equipment used by the overnight Housekeeping and Stewarding team members
• Required to work closely and communicate effectively with the leadership of the Culinary, Stewarding, and Housekeeping departments
• Experience and ability to coach and counsel team members in their respective job descriptions and as it relates to hotel policies and procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of 3 years of housekeeping management experience
• Experience in the luxury hotel market is preferred
• Degree in Hospitality Management is a plus
• Prior experience in a union environment highly preferred
• Previously demonstrated leadership skills supporting a diverse team focusing on achieving excellence, interdepartmental teamwork, and exceptional customer service
• Must be a creative and effective leader and team player, possessing a high degree of professionalism, energy, and determination
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Results oriented with the ability to adapt to the challenges of a continually evolving workforce, while remaining flexible and working under pressure
• Ensure a safe work environment is always maintained and that all team members are committed to working safely
