Description

Summary: Design and execute solid business development strategies, target new and repeat group market targets in a defined geographical and/or vertical market to include but not limited to trending luxury market segments. This position with not only manage group accounts to achieve all stakeholder’s revenue goals but will prospect on a consistent basis to new client engagement and new business development to ensure all revenue goals are achieved.

The Director of Sales Accounts at PGA National Resort Job Functions:

    • Establish daily standard of prospecting in upper and lower funnel, to achieve shift in market mix outcome for a repositioning hotel.
    • Establish daily review active business funnel and closure tactics on inbound leads.
    • Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both verbally and in written form to potential
    • Move throughout property to conduct site inspections
    • Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts.
    • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
    • Travel locally and nationally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition.
    • Prepare information for, meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate to develop strong business relationships
    • Represent hotel at trade shows and other industry related events. Set up exhibits involving bending, stooping, lifting and reaching overhead.
    • Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to

    Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Must have the ability to communicate in English.
    • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
    • Solid knowledge of Delphi fdc
    • Must always maintain a professional appearance and manner.
    • Can communicate well with guests.
    • Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
    • Knowledge of a hotel structure and how all departments interact.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Analytical and technical skill required.
    • Need working knowledge of reservations and front office systems and Microsoft Office
    • Suite to take full advantage of the revenue opportunities.
    • Forecasting and creative revenue management abilities needed.
    • Yield management skill required to evaluate business trends and communicate recommendations to property team to take full advantage of revenue maximization.

    Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
