Spa Supervisor

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Assists the Spa Director and Spa Managers in overseeing the daily operations of The Spa at Ballantyne, to include front desk, issuance, fitness center, indoor pool, guest relations and reservations.

Pay Rate: $17/hourly

JOB DUTIES

• Oversees and monitors incoming calls taken by member services representatives for quality assurance in accordance with Forbes, Marriott and company standards. Ensures calls are handled professionally and reservations are booked per the guest's needs while maximizing profitability.
• Responds to and resolves elevated guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally. Follows-up to ensure guest satisfaction.

• Assists with monitoring and maintaining staffing levels in all departments to ensure adequate coverage and availability of appointments at all times.
• Assists guests in person and via phone in a timely and professional manner. Answers questions and provides information regarding spa services.
• Supervises spa employees during shift, to include spa and salon providers, spa coordinators. Ensures highest level of luxury service provided at front desk, reservations, lounge/locker room, lunch service, pools and fitness center.
• Works with department leads to ensure room assignments and daily checklists are completed.
• Makes sure all opening/closing job duties are performed when working these shifts.
• Monitors and maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the facility to ensure immaculate conditions at all times.
• Conducts pre-shift meetings.
• Assists in implementing and overseeing programs, activities and special events.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS

•  High school diploma or equivalent. Two year degree preferred.

• Previous supervisory experience, preferably in a Forbes 4-star spa

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills. Experience using Open Activity and Micros systems preferred.
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, hear, talk, listen, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions
• Ability to push, pull, lift, carry or otherwise move up to 10 lbs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
